2. Do I need my own domain name for URL redirection?
Yes, URL forwarding redirects web requests for a domain name to a web site on a different server, so you need to have a domain name. If you do not have one yet, feel free to register one here.

3. Will your forwarding services add advertising to my site?
Absolutely no advertising is added to forwarding accounts. No banners, pop-ups or advertising of any other kind will be added to your destination URL by us.

4. My URL forwarding account is 'pending/. What does this mean?
This simply means you have not yet updated the nameserver information on your domain name. Until you do so, we can not provide forwarding service for this domain name. Once you sign up for an account, you have 30 days to update the nameserver information. After 30 days your redirection order will expire automatically, and you will not be charged. The correct nameserver information to use is :

5. Who is the registrar for my domain?
The below form will allow you to find out who the registrar is for .com/.net/.org domain names. For other names, ask us.

6. Will this give me email@mydomain.com?
No, it will not. If you wish to have email addresses @your_domain, you'll need a real web hosting package. Forwarding only redirects web based requests to your destination URL.

7. Where can I get my own domain name?
We also offer domain name registration services for many different extensions. Click here for more information. Domains registered with us automatically have the correct nameserver information for use with the redirection/forwarding service.

8. Will both www.mydomain & mydomain.com URL's work?
Only the version with the 'www.' will work for domain forwarding. If you wish for both to work, you'll need a real web hosting account.

9. How long will it take for my forwarding account to be active?
That depends. For your domain to work with our services, you'll need to change the nameserver information on the domain (see above). How long this takes depends on yourself and/or your domain registrar. Once the domain reflects our nameservers (or if you registered the domain with us), forwarding services will activate less than 24 hours. New URL redirection accounts are activated nighly.
